The Ups And Down In Life

Image
The idea has been taken from the book   Peaks and Valleys   by   Spencer Johnson , which contains a short parable that focuses on how to lead your life during the ups and down phase. In other words how to manage yourself while going through the good and bad times. Ups and Down In Life The story goes like this — A young man lives unhappily in a valley. One day he meets an old man who lives on a mountain peak. At first, the young man doesn’t realize that he is talking to one of the most peaceful and successful people in the world. But in the course of further encounters and conversations, the young man comes to understand that he can apply the old man’s remarkable principles and practical tools to his own life to change it for the better. Key takeaways  - Peaks And Valleys Are Connected in Two Ways: > The Errors You Make In Today’s Good Times Create Tomorrow’s Bad Times. > And The Wise Things You Do In Today’s Bad Times Create Tomorrow’s Good Times. Go-Giver Or A Go-Getter

Image
How did you become a better version of yourselves or how did you make your company increase its sales or how you were able to achieve the target without any hiccups.  You will get the answers or at least the approach after reading the book "Go-Giver". It is a great book by  Bob Burg and John David Mann . The Laws explained in the book can be even used in our daily life. I went through the full audiobook via Storytel and later read the book summary online. The Go-Giver is worth listening also if you prefer audiobooks. The book tells a parable of a man named Joe who, struggling to make his quarterly sales target, meets a mentor named Pindar to help him. Pindar then teaches Joe the “Five Laws of Stratospheric Success” by having Joe meet various people who have already mastered the five laws.  While going through the book reminded me of a very famous book based on the Theory of Constraints i.e  The Goal by Eliyahu M. Goldratt . " The Goal" book can be used for case stu...

Kinds of Monkey in Human Mind

Image
The human mind is filled with monkeys flinging themselves from tree branches, jumping around, and chattering nonstop. Our minds always remain in constant motion.  The mind is full of thoughts like dozens of monkeys, all clamoring for attention. Some monkeys induce fear, some of them are stress-causing and some of them are really naughty.  Some of them are well-behaved too. They are categorized into four types - The Monkey Theory by Sfurti Sahare P-Monkey - Procrastinator Monkey  F-Monkey - Fear Monkey D-Monkey - Drunken Monkey  H-Monkey - Human Monkey The human monkey is actually YOU. The monkey wants all the good things for self, family, and society. It is your better judgment, which can analyze things and can think straight.  It is you performing to the best of your abilities. The guiding statement of this monkey is, ‘Let’s get to the TOP!’ The human mind is full of monkeys . They are the reason for your sudden mood swings.      > The Fe...

Be Water, My Friend.

Be Like Water, Shape Yourself, Adjust Yourself Whether we are in a classroom or in the outside world, we are always forced to choose who we are. Always expected to walk towards a fixed goal. Never be uncertain, never fail or never alter our course. We are either artists or scientists or businessmen. We are being constantly reminded to embrace these identities with greater force. As they say, the more we remain folded in our fields, the better specialists we are. Awakening Minds Meet up @9PM Every Friday Join the meet up Every Friday Facebook Live @9.00 PM - Awakening Minds Posted by Awakening Minds on Friday, November 27, 2020 Fluid shatters this myth by arguing that great minds who have changed the fate of humankind are actually the ones who failed, faltered or remained uncertain, yet never bothered to stay pasted to a rigid line. They were more. They were fluid. "Be Water, My Friend. Empty your mind. Be formless, shapeless, like water. You put wa...
