We keep searching on how to improve ourselves. This topic has
been taken from the book “The Miracle Morning” written by Hal Elrod.
“On the one hand, we all want to be
happy. On the other hand, we all know the things that make us happy. But we
don’t do those things. Why? Simple. We are too busy. Too busy doing what? Too
busy trying to be happy.” — Matthew Kelly
We never find time for ourselves and keep on procrastinating our
job. Let’s start this/that thing from tomorrow, sometimes it is knowingly and
sometimes it is unknowingly and at the end of everything just blame others for
the task not done on time. This is a normal human tendency towards any task/work
not to complete it. I have also done it many times, cant help as I am also a normal
living being creature in human form. But, one thing for common to each one of
us takes the initiatives on time.
Let’s not kill time and jump to the point directly. Below 6
habits before 8AM can transform your life and will surely make
you successful. At least doing this early morning will help you to complete
your daily task with ease.
Miles Davis says, “My future starts when
I wake up every morning” — This seems applicable to everyone.
Life SAVERS
SAVERS do not have any sequence, can be done in whatever sequence
seems feasible. Example here has been provided that can be done in 60 minutes.
(if you are super busy, you can do it in 6, 10, 12, 30 minutes)
For those who have read 5AM Club by Robin Sharma, this might
seems familiar to 20/20/20 Rule (wake up at
5 AM then divide 1 hour into 20/20/20 minutes). I will share the comparison as
the next post, as I am yet to read 5AM Club book.
S as Silence — Start off
your day by increasing your conscious and by focusing on your goal through
meditation. Do this as soon as you wake up. (can be done by sitting in silence,
praying, meditating & focusing on the breath) — makes mind peaceful /
releases your stress. (5 minutes)
A as Affirmation — By
chanting/reciting a mantra tied to your personal goals, you are setting your
mind for success. (what I wanted, who I am committed to being, & what I am
committed to change my life) — makes you feel
empowered. (5 minutes)
Napoleon Hill says, “Anything you can
conceive and believe, you can achieve.” e.g. ( I your_name will
be a powerful keynote speaker)
A famous quote by Mohammad Ali, “It’s the
repetition of affirmations that leads to belief. Once that belief becomes a
deep conviction, things begin to happen”. This is the beauty of
daily affirmations.
V as Visualization — Picture
as precisely as you can what you want to achieve, with confidence and pleasure.
You can also gather images on a board that will inspire you and ease this
visualization process. (Imagine yourself doing each thing, step by step, that
you need to do to accomplish your goals. Then imagine what it will feel like
when u succeed)— makes you inspired. (5 minutes)
E as Exercise — Let your
blood flow in your body and fill up your lungs with oxygen through yoga poses
that you are comfortable with. “Motion Creates Emotions” — Tony
Robbins says most of the time which seems correct for exercise.
You can even stand up, can do jumping jacks and get your heart rate up and get
energized and waking yourself up and increasing your ability to be alert and to
focus.— makes you energetic. (20 minutes)
R as Reading — Reading 10
pages a day equals to 3,650 pages per year which correspond to 18 books of 200
pages each. Read the book, pick the idea and implement it. Discover something
new that you can use to feel better. (Book can be of the genre — self-help,
autobiography and non-fiction)— makes you motivated.
(20 minutes)
S as Scribing — Write a
journal to keep track of your ideas, discoveries and opportunities. Writing
them down will unconsciously help you to thrive. — (write what you are grateful
for, what is your problem, this remove the load you might be carrying from
ages) — makes you feel grateful. (5 minutes)
Rolf Smith has said, “The problem with
making mental notes is that the Ink fades very Rapidly”. So it
is better to write journals, this way we always remember it.
Last quotation which is worth including
“Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body and prayer is to the soul.
We become the books we read” by Matthew Kelly
